If you host a lot of parties at home, welcome to my world! I am always working on creating fancy appetizers for my guests while keeping the cooking part of it easy and quick. This is another one of my appetizers which takes about 20 mins to make and is always the most enjoyed dish.. Bonus tip: use the leftover tikka’s and make some butter chicken with it! Garnish with some onion and lime or simply serve it with yoghurt mint chutney!

  • Preparing the marinade: In a bowl, add diced chicken, tandoori masala powder, greek yogurt, ginger garlic paste and mix thoroughly.
  • Let the chicken marinate for 15-20 mins. Here is a quick recipe for my chutney: Blend cilantro, green chillies, ginger, garlic, cumin powder, chaat masala and salt along with some lemon juice and sugar. Mix the paste with with some yogurt and you have the perfect dip ready to go!
  • Take the marinated chicken cubes and use a skewer to give that tandoori feel. Alternatively, you can place the chicken cubes on a baking tray and bake at 400F for 10 minutes. If you do not have access to the over, simply sear them for 5 mins on each side in a skillet.
  • Once baked, serve them hot and remember to tag @recipesbyappy to let me know how they turned out!

Notes

If using bamboo skewers, remember to soak them in water for 15 mins to prevent them from burning.
