    Preparing the Scallops
  • Thaw the scallops completely (if using frozen) and pat them dry using a paper towel to remove extra water.
  • Now season them with salt and pepper on both sides.
  • For cooking the Scallops
  • In a pan, add olive oil and saute asparagus for about a minute. Remove and save it for plating.
  • In the remaining oil, carefully place the scallops approximately 1-2 inches apart. Cook for 90 seconds on a medium - high flame. Do not disturb them once they touch the pan.
  • Now flip them and cook them on the other side for 90 seconds as well. I use a timer when making these because if you cook them longer than 90 seconds, they will become chewy and texture will not come out well.
  • Now plate and serve with your favorite sides. I like my scallops with some creamy pasta!
