Spaghetti in Basil Sauce with Roasted Tomatoes

Whenever I have some fresh basil on my hand, this is my go to. This simple yet flavorful sauce gives such a good color to any pasta and it is super simple to make with fewer ingredients.

Serve this dish with your favorite protein and enjoy!

  • In a pot, bring water to boil and cook the spaghetti until al-dante.
  • In a oven tray, drizzle some olive oil, add the tomato slices and sprinkle with some salt and pepper. Roast for 10 mins. Keep it aside.
  • In a blender, add the fresh basil leaves, garlic, 1 tbsp olive oil and heavy cream.
  • Make a fine paste and keep aside.
  • In a saucepan, add olive oil and cooked spaghetti.
  • Add italian herbs, salt and pepper.
  • Add the basil sauce and some roasted tomatoes(save a few for garnish). Mix well.
  • Now plate it and enjoy with your favorite side of protein.
